Our 1 Year Anniversary in Girdwood

Its hard to believe we have been married a year. Sometimes it feels like just yesterday I was getting ready to marry the love of my life. Sometimes it feels like a lifetime since we said our vows.

In 1 year a lot has changed. A year ago, we were just a couple who were in love. A year later, we are a family. 

We were able to get the same cabin in Girdwood that we had our wedding night/weekend. It was very special. But the coolest part was that this time we were there, we had Levi with us. 

We spent the weekend there and had a lot of fun. It was nice for Steve to have a day off and we just relaxed. We had a delicious Salmon dinner, took a nice walk, watched TV enjoyed our time together.

This summer...

Has been the best summer of our lives! 

Not only do we have a wonderful baby boy but the weather has been beautiful and we have done a lot of being outside!

98 Days of Motherhood

The first thing I must say is that God is good. This summer has been wonderful. Not only do we have a wonderful son but this summer has been beautiful and we have been so blessed. 

Steve has been working extra hard this summer. He works full time at Ruf Drywall and then mows lawns Saturdays and after work on Tuesdays. It isn't easy and it's exhausting and I wish he had a 2 day weekend like most people but he does it with the best attitude and does it to provide for our family. God has blessed him with enough lawns to give us some extra money each month. God always provides. 

Levi is great. He is growing so much. He is now trying to imitate sounds we make, it is so cute! He loves his hands and feet. He loves being outside. He smiles all the time. He is a wonderful baby! We are truly blessed with a happy, healthy boy with a very contagious smile. 

Our newest adventure has been cloth diapering!!! And we are very excited. We have decided to use cloth diapers because it is better for the  environment and it is a lot less expensive. 

We're going green!

The last week has been bittersweet. Obviously, as I said, life has been wonderful and I am very happy. But something sad has happened. My Grandma died late Friday night. I had received a letter and gift from her 2 days before and I am very grateful. I didn't get to tell her thank you or mail a card. I guess it's true when people say life is short. I had no idea she would be gone this soon. There are so many things I wish I could have said and done differently. And now it's too late. I have learned that life is too short to hold grudges and be angry. Just as God forgives us, we should constantly walk in forgiveness and love has He does.

2 Months Old

I cannot believe Levi is already two months old. Everyone told me that time flies by but I had no idea it would go this quickly. Levi is already growing so much and continues to change daily.
He is so much fun to be around. I love every minute of being a mom.
A couple days ago, my mom had to watch him for most of the day because I was busy with Sarah and Trenton's wedding and when I came home to see Levi, he gave me the biggest smile I've ever seen. It feels so great to know that he knows who I am and loves me:)
This morning, we woke up and spent 45 minutes in bed. He was smiling and wiggling and cooing a lot. He even tried to sing when I sang to him. Ive never seen him get so happy or try to make noise as loud as when I was singing.
He also loves when Steve holds him so he is sitting up and facing out. It is favorite and makes him happy instantly. He also loves when Steve dances around and sings to him. We definitely have a boy who loves music:)
He is getting so strong. He likes his tummy time and holds his head up great. He also loves to grab onto our hands and pulls himself into the sitting position. His head still wobbles but his neck is getting stronger every day. A couple days ago he rolled from his back to his tummy. His arm was stuck under his tummy but he tried so hard.
He LOVES to move around. Ive never seen such an active baby. He is always kicking and punching. However, I must add that he loves his swing and when he is in it, he is still and content (like right now).
He loves to be outside. Im not sure what it is but whenever we take walks and he is in his stroller or his sling, he is very very happy.
